Jane' website aimed at women
Cambridge Evening News September 2005
Women in Cambridge can now find out about living
and working in and around the city at the click of a mouse.
A new website - Cambridge Women - has been set
up to act like a giant noticeboard.
There are directories and descriptions of where
to shop, eat and drink and also sections about health and beauty,
mums and kids, business, training and education, jobs, skills exchange,
and buying and selling.
The website was the brainchild of Jane Horwood,
who moved to the area from London 10 months ago.
She said: "My inspiration to develop other
female-focused businesses is based on my own experience that it
tends to be women who source information, research new products,
organise events and parties and kids' days out and look for interesting
new places to go and shop."
The site, which aims to appeal to women
from all walks of life, is at www.cambridgewomen.co.uk
